On a daily basis, Tom is involved in national and international commercial and
corporate transactions. He advises clients on all legal and fiscal aspects of setting up and doing business in Belgium. Furthermore, he also advises Belgian based clients on setting up and doing business in the United States of America and other key jurisdictions (South America, Asia).
Prior to joining Thompson Hine, Tom was an associate with a leading Belgian tax
firm. He has particular experience in value-added tax (VAT) law regarding; real
estate, public entities, import/export, intra-community transactions, VAT-
grouping, VAT planning, financial transactions, invoicing and compliance.
Tom is a native Belgian and as a member of the Brussels Bar, he is authorized to
represent clients before the Belgian and European courts.
